Kano Pillars earn three vital away points

Despite losing two vital players, Gabriel Reuben and Papa Idris who joined Kilmarnock in Scottish league, Kano Pillars might have taken a stride towards a succesful defence of their title as Baba Kanaru's side are still glued to the first position after winning their fourth game in five played so far. Kano Pillars who are the reigning champions defeated ABS 3 - 2 in Ilorin on Saturday at the Kwara state international stadium thanks to goals scored by Gambo Mohammed, Nafiu Ibrahim in the 8th and 45th minutes respectively and Bello Musa Kofarmata two minutes to stoppage time.
Ichull Lordson reduced tally for the home side as he scored twice(71st and 90th) to ease Ilorin fans' fears of a humiliating result.
Elsewhere, Enugu Rangers outclassed Kwara United 3 - 1 to streghten their grip on second place in the premier league and ensure Kano Pillars did not stretch lead at the top.
