Ameobi Out Against Chelsea

Sammy Amoebi who is a teammate, younger brother of Shola and Newcastle player has been signed by Middlesbrough, an English championship side on loan until the end of season.

Sammy is expected to help Boro which is currently occupying the 7th position on the Championship league table gain promotion to the premiership.

During Sammy 14 appearances this season in Newcastle united, he did not score any goal but Tony Mowbray who is Middlesbrough’s coach, believes the winger has potential and will be useful during the season.
Ameobi is ineligible tonight as Middlesbough meet Chelsea in the 1/8 finals at Riverside. His teammates, Josh McEachran, Kieron Dyer (both ineligible), Lukas Jutkiewicz (ankle) and Jonathan Woodgate(calf) are also out of the game.
On the other side, Chelsea will be relying on the nigerian duo of Victor Moses and Mikel Obi to seek a qualification into the quater-finals. No doubt Frank Lampard will likely be on parade to fight for his 26th FA goal and 200 in all for Chelsea.
