The former spanish international defender, Andoni Goikoetxea has been appointed Equatorial Guinea's new national coach.
His appointment comes three weeks away from their world cup qualifier against Cape Verde slated for Malabo on the 24th of march.
He had 39 appearances for Spain national team as a player before he became the assistant coach of the spanish team in USA '94 world and later the country's U-20 national team coach in 1995.
At club level he has coached Salamanca, Compostela, Numancia, Racing Santander, Rayo Valencano and Hercules all in Spain before this his first foreign job.
