South Africa pips Central African Rep. 2 - 0

On a day the Bafana Bafana needed to take home all the three points at stake to boost their dream of an eventual World Cup qualification, Thabo Matlaba and Bernard Melvin Parker found the net to give South Africa a 2 - 0 win against Central African Republic(CAR).
Thabo Matlaba, a left back defender fired past CAR's goalkeeper, Geoffrey Lembet in the 34th minute to put South Africa ahead before Parker completed the 2 - 0 rout for Bafana Bafana hitting past the keeper after a quick combination with Mahlangu in the 70th minute.
Elsewhere, Ivory Coast defeated Gambia 3 - 0 in Abidjan with goals scored by Wilfred Bony(49th), Yaya Toure(59th) and Solomon Kalou(70th)
