Oba Martins debuts in US

The former InterMilan, Newcastle, Rubin Kazan and Levante player Martins Obafemi made his debut in the US Major League Soccer on saturday when his new clubside, Seattle Sounders played a 1-1 draw at home with Portland. He came in as a substitute for Martinez after 70 minutes of the match.

Martins who is a member of the Nigerian Super Eagles' team that host Harambee Stars of Kenya in a crucial World Cup qualifier in Calabar, Nigeria next Saturday will now fly back after a hectic long journey from Spain to US.
