Namibian coach resigns
He was hired a year and half ago with the task of qualifying Namibia for Afcon 2013 and the World Cup in Brazil next year. But after failing to take the team to South Africa, Bernard Kaanjuka's remaining mission of qualifying for the World Cup was disrupted on Saturday following their 1 - 0 defeat at home by Namibia and consequently moving down the standings to the third place with two points off co-leaders Nigeria and Malawi.
Though there are still three matches to play, Bernard Kaanjuka announced his resignation on Tuesday and cited his failure to qualify for both tournaments as his reasons.
