Game 3 of African zone qualifiers to 2014 Brazil WORLD CUP


Group A -Without two key defenders, Siyabonga Sandweni and Tsepo Masilela who are out due to injuries, South Africa who is presently occupying the third position with 2 points in 2 games will host Central African Republic for the World cup qualifier on saturday and their coach Gordon Igesund is sure the team will win the tie but will also get qualified because according to him, they are not under any pressure as they were during AFCON 2013.

Group B -Tunisia will meet with Sierra Leaone on saturday for the qualifying tie at their home, their coach Nabil Maaloul is confident they will win. Cape Verde will play away with Equatorial Guinea but they currently are at the bottom of the group with no point, they are however going to rely on their 2013 experience in the remaining qualifying matches.

Group C - Ivory Coast will host Togo on saturday and are poised to win irrespective of their poor performance at AFCON 2013.
Drogba and Ebuoe are left out of the team by the coach Sabri Lamouchi to regain fitness as they are presently out of form.Morocco wants to upgrade from their third position and are travelling to Tanzania for an away win.

Group D - Black stars coach, Kwesi Appiah has said the team is ready and determined to win with nothing less than 6points as Sudan travels to meet them on sunday in search of points so as to qualify for the World cup ticket after forfeiting their 2-0 win over Zambia for including an ineligible player in the team.

Group E: The Stallion of Burkina Faso are confident they will win the World cup qualifying tie against against Niger on saturday and go ahead to qualify despite the fact that they lie at the bottom of the group E table with no points in the 2 games played so far.

Group F - Nigeria hosts Harambee Stars of Kenya in Calabar while Namibia plays Malawi  in this weekend's group F matches.  The Kenyans who complained about poor reception given them on their arrival have settled and have promised their fans that they will beat the Super Eagles.

Group G - Due to a turmoil that occurred after a court death sentence to some fans over Ah Ahly fans case, the Zimbabwean FA requested that their World Cup qualifier against Egypt be played outside Egypt but their request has been turned down by CAF and they will tomorrow be hosted by Egypt in Alexandria.
The Pharaohs are determined to win and inorder to do that, their foreign based champions coupled with Zamalek and Ismaily players who were absent when they lost to Qatar 3-1 in a friendly have reported to camp to join their team against Zimbabwe.

Group H - The Malian national team will play Rwanda on Sunday for a group H African World Cup qualifier. Four of its main players are  ruled out due to injuries and they are AC Milan’s Bakary Traore, QPR’S midfielder Samba Diakite, goalie Mamadou Samassa and France based Abdoulwhaid Sisoko. Mali has three points in two games and they are second on the table.

Group I: The Indomitable lions of Cameroon Meets Togo in this group - After missing out from the national team since 2010,following problems he blamed on the national team set-up, Tottenham left back defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto has joined the Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions and is ready as they engage Togo on Saturday in Yaounde.
His arrival will definitely alleviate Cameroon’s defensive problem after two of their defenders Dany Nounkeu and Aurelio Chedjo were sidelined by injuries.
Cameroon are third on group I with three points, one point adrift of first positioned Libya.

Group J - Senegal national team will host Angola in the group J World Cup qualifier on Saturday and the match will be played in Conankry(Guinea) following a one-year home ban handed Senegal by CAF after violence last october during their match with Ivory Coast in an Afcon qualifiers.Cisse and Ba who were teamates at Newcastle till January will lead Senegal’s attack.
